What is direct to film (DTF)?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a process where a design is printed onto a special film using water-based inks and then transferred to a garment using heat and pressure. It allows for full-color, detailed images on a wide range of fabrics.
How should I wash garments with DTF prints?
Wash inside out
Cold water, mild detergent
No bleach or fabric softener
Hang dry or tumble low
Do not iron on the print
What is the largest transfer size available?
Currently, 12 wide x 16 length is the largest transfer size available.
Do I need a heat press for DTF?
Yes, for best results. Home irons won’t provide enough consistent pressure or heat, and may result in poor adhesion.
How do I apply a DTF transfer?
Pre-press your garment for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
Place the DTF transfer on the fabric according to your specifications, design side up.
Press using a heat press at 295–305°F (146–152°C) for 15–20 seconds (exact specs may vary).
Let it cool (cold peel), then peel the film.
Repress for 15–20 seconds with a Teflon or parchment sheet to cure print into garment.
